Terrible visit. Restaurant wasn't half full, we ordered 2 margaritas and cheese dip for the kids. My daughter spilled her drink and the waitress stood there and watched us clean it up and left the wet napkins on the table. Cheese dip was terrible, chips tasted like store bought tostitos. Menu has a nice write up about how they make everything from scratch so your wait may be longer..... The waitress came by 3 times saying the food was almost out, at about 45 minutes I went to the bar and asked for the check. At that point the waitress started saying they had a big to go order and had the food in hand. Unfortunately we didn't stick around to see if it was better than the appetizer and terrible service. I should have read the other write ups of this location over the last month, hopefully the owner does as well.
I was a little hesitant to try this place from reading all the reviews, but decided to give it a chance, and I’m glad I did. The waitress was very nice and was always checking on us. Food was amazing! Wonderful alcoholic beverages (I like the margaritas)! The only critique I could give would be that the food came out a little slow, but we had a lot of people in our party. Over all, definitely recommend this place!
They started out pretty good but have gone downhill since then.
Food was great. Service not so good. Not even asked if we wanted anything else. Not busy at all and we had to ask for our ck
Good service. $2 margaritas during the day. Great (free) salsa. Great view if you can get a window seat. You really can't go wrong.
The kitchen is slow, and yes, I know they make it to order. Sometimes they are out of some things before 6:00. The servers are mostly young, and I feel bad for them, as it isn't their fault when things come out wrong or slow, or whatever.
(The old review) We were so excited when this location opened, since we've always loved the 12th Avenue location. .This isn't run by the same owners as that location; it's a franchise and it shows.
The menu is the same, but the food just isn't. Even the cilantro-lime rice, which is AWESOME at the other location, isn't the same - the rice is hard/old? and there is less sauciness/creaminess.
Update: Nope, nope, nope. We're just back, and that was the last time. There was nobody there but the beach is rather packed as the Harley Owners Group is in town. The chips were definitely out of a bag. Ordered the chili relleno which used to be awesome. It wasn't. Canned chicken - I'm not kidding! I felt terrible for the waitress, so we tipped without saying anything to her, but we'll never be back.
